OUR KIDS. OUR COMMUNITY. OUR PROMISE. OUR FUTURE.
OUR KIDS. OUR COMMUNITY. OUR PROMISE. OUR FUTURE.
LANSING PROMISE
At the Lansing Promise we believe.
We believe in the inherent worth of every young person in this city.
We believe in the power of education to transform lives and to uplift communities.
And we believe in the vision Dr. King so eloquently cast more than 56 years ago:
"I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their
bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their
spirits." - Dr. King, Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech, 1964
At the Lansing Promise we strive to create the conditions for success to occur. Recognizing that
Dr. King was right, that "In the long run, justice finally must spring from a new moral climate."
So we will continue to build a community where every young person has the opportunity to dream, the ability
to thrive and the love, support and investment needed to build a brighter future. For themselves, their
families and their community.
Join us as we walk with our future leaders.
