the influencers,
changemakers,
and creators that make our community
so unique.
A Leadership
Book with a “We wanted to highlight all of the movers and shakers, creators and business
owners, restaurants and artists who make this community great,” said Chris
TWIS T Sell, Lansing 5:01 and one of the event organizers. “Truly a celebration of many
of the best parts of the Lansing region.”
Best of Lansing featured 10 local restaurants that were sampling products
to folks who bought tasting tickets and wanted to experience some of the
best food in our community. Hosting the event at Jackson Field – home of
the Lansing Lugnuts within Lansing’s bustling stadium district – provided a
venue to showcase the businesses and artists, as well as a concert featuring
STARFARM, the local legendary cover band.
“We also activated Jackson Field in a unique way, installing large inflatables
throughout the outfield, providing activities for families and kids,” said Sell.
“Capping the evening with a free fireworks show over the stadium – a rare
opportunity on a non-baseball game date – was the perfect way to end the
night.”
Best of Lansing welcomed approximately 3,500 people to the event, which
Sell said was the biggest one-day event ever hosted in the community.
Author: Ross Woodstock “The Best of Lansing drew plenty of attendees from the Lansing region, but
Executive Coach and it also welcomed folks from other parts of the state and the Midwest,” said
Leadership Consultant Sell. “We sold out of tasting tickets online prior to the event even starting that
Available on Amazon evening, which speaks to the interest from our community.”
Sell said given the success of the event organizers hope to make Best of
Lansing an annual event. l
