WHEREAS: As the longest running commission of its kind in the nation, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Commission of Mid-Michigan continues the tradition of honoring one of this country’s finest and most Greetings!

Mr. Ernest Green, Ms. Carlota LaNier and other members of the Little Rock Nine.
WHEREAS: Although we are once again not able to gather in person due to public health concerns, it is
important that we take this time to honor and celebrate Dr. King, his legacy, and his memory. Thank you all for taking the time to watch this year’s program. It is imperative that we take time to
properly honor Dr. King and his contributions, especially in times like these, and we pray that we
may be graced with the intangible qualities he possessed that helped change society. Doctor King’s
