PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
Psalm 103:6
TO GOD: Loving heavenly Father, thank you that your ways are righteous and just. ‘The Lord is righteous in all his ways’ (Psalm 145:17) and faithful in all he does.
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, forgive us for every act of prejudice and pride in which we elevate ourselves in judgement over others.
FOR THE WORLD: In our war-torn world, we pray for help and protection for the innocent, marginalised and vulnerable. Please raise up peacemakers.
FOR OUR NATION: We pray for our leaders, especially those in government, ‘to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly’ (Micah 6:8).
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, I bring before you those who once walked with you but have fallen away. Touch their hearts, Lord; may they recall your goodness and return to you (Luke 15:11-32).
FOR MYSELF: Father, may I be righteous as you are righteous, and just as you are just.
PRAYER
Father, I recommit my life to you and use the Prayers on page 39. AMEN.

rooted and grounded in the Bible... and only the Bible.
