PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love ...
Psalm 51:1
TO GOD: Father, I thank you that we can ‘approach your throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need’ (Hebrews 4:16).
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, may we, in view of God’s mercy, offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, which is our true and proper worship (Romans 12:1).
FOR THE WORLD: Almighty God, we pray for nations to show mercy for ‘judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment’ (James 2:13).
FOR OUR NATION: Lord Jesus, have mercy on us, for we have forsaken your ways. May there be a fresh move of your Spirit in our nation.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, we bring our ‘yet to be saved’ friends before you, naming them individually...
FOR MYSELF: Father, the fields are ‘white unto harvest’ (John 4:35). May I seek opportunity today.
PRAYER
Lord, may my life be a shining witness for you and inspire people to turn to you. AMEN.
