 James’ testimony
It started here at Chelmsford a few months ago. I had found our Lord in my younger years, but since I arrived here I looked deeper for him. I was in dark despair, as you know prisons can be dark places, however, if you seek you can find enlightenment in this shadow-filled place. All that is needed is faith, a love for Jesus and to ask God for forgiveness.
At the time I was very low and thinking of giving in to the darkness, but while I lay on my bed in my cell in pain, both mental and physical, I drifted off to sleep. It was then I had an experience I would like to share.

Mission to Prisons
After my night prayers and bible reading
(Psalm 25:1-25), “In you, Lord my God, I put
my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put
to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over
me.” I fell asleep and I was woken up but my
body stayed asleep. I was taken up from my
room by a pure hand and led to a place I
knew I had never been to before. It was
bright, calm, and peaceful. I was told to sit
down and that all will be okay. My heart at
once felt full and at ease. My eyes saw what
my heart knew. A voice said to me, “My NOVEMBER
1st Men’s Breakfast: Andrew Hawkins body was at ease and my horrific back pain 3rd Time out with God: Ian Moore
journey is beginning.” When I woke up my
had gone. I felt renewed, my heart and mind were full. I knew where I had been taken and who took me. Also, my Bible that I left on my table was now on my bed next to where my head lay, close to my mind. I now know the path I must take in life and I welcome it.
So if you’re in a place of darkness, you too can find the light of the Lord. Never let go of it and you will find you will never be alone, lonely or lost. God will show you the narrow gate that leads to life and the Kingdom of Heaven.
