 PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain” Hebrews 6:19
TO GOD: Father, be exalted among the nations!
FOR THE CHURCH: As people called to possess the peace of God, let us take the opportunity to stop; be still and know your heart and mind.
FOR THE WORLD: Father we pray for all affected by war, earthquakes, famine, floods and fire and for those in material need, lacking food, water and healthcare struggling to survive. Show us how we can respond.
FOR OUR NATION: Father, we pray for the impoverished, those struggling to make ends meet. We thank you for the increased number of churches looking to serve community.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, help us never to harm our friends by careless words, hurtful actions, or unkind thoughts. We pray that in so doing, their eyes will be opened to your love and abounding grace.
FOR MYSELF: Father, forgive me that I do not take enough time to ‘be still’, and as a consequence I have failed to know you as I should.
  PRAYER
Lord. please minister through Helen Yousaf to women attending on the 16th.
AMEN.
   DELVING DEEPER Is He serious?
With Paul Woolley, CEO of LICC
Monday 25th November 2024 - 10.30am to 3.00pm
Jesus said some things that were difficult to understand: “Go and sell all that you have, and give to the poor.” “If you don’t hate your family, you can’t be my disciple.” “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
What should we make of these teachings from Jesus, and how do we respond to his challenge in our everyday lives in 2024? The good
news is that there is Good News! We can discover God’s grace and power as we learn to really hear Jesus. Come ready to be challenged, inspired, and equipped to follow Jesus in all of life, right where you are.
