PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 1:35
TO GOD: Father, thank you that you have made yourself known through your Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. May I seek you with all of my heart, knowing that when I pray you will hear me (Jeremiah 29:12).
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, your Son said, “My Father’s house is a house of prayer”(Matthew 21:13). May it be so, for your glory.
FOR THE WORLD: Father, we pray for your world – fragmented and hurting, vulnerable to deception and lacking godly leadership. Restore, O Lord, the honour of your Name.
FOR OUR NATION: Father, we pray for the isolated and vulnerable in our society – children suffering abuse and neglect, families living in poverty, the homeless and those living in exile. Touch our hearts, O Lord.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, I pray for friends who are struggling with mental health issues. May I show compassion through love and practical help.
FOR MYSELF: Father, may I be like Jesus in my dependence upon you. Please increase my faith and ignite my prayer life. Amen.
PRAYER
Lord, please help all those struggling with the menopause and those attending the special evening on 2nd June.
AMEN.
