PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life... Philippians 2:15
TO GOD: In this new year, I make a single, overriding resolution in your strength to ‘hold firmly to the word of life’ so that I may shine for you.
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, may our ‘light so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven’ (Matthew 5:16).
FOR THE WORLD: Lord, we ‘declare the praises of him who called us out of darkness into his wonderful light’ (1 Peter 2:9), praying that those trapped in darkness may come to the Light.
FOR OUR NATION: ‘Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people’ (Proverbs 14:34). Lord, show us how to pray.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, may our example be such that those closest to us ask for ‘the reason for the hope that is within’ (1 Peter 3:15).
FOR MYSELF: Father, please forgive me and purify my heart. Fill me with holy oil that my lamp may shine for you. Amen.
NCT PRAYER
Father, thank you that the ‘Time out with God’ days are a precious time with you.
AMEN.
