Claims Process
CLAIMS PROCESS:
• Customer files a claim following the instructions in their UBP fulfillment kit
o Customer requests claims form from dedicated AIG Claims email address
o Customer completes claims form and sends in with appropriate documentation (will differ by claim type - - see below)
o AIG Claims sends customer a claims acknowledgement letter within 24 hours of receipt of claim form. This letter will include documentation required from customer.
• Customer eligibility is determined (verify customer is enrolled in UBP; current on premium payments; has met Waiting and Elimination periods if applicable
• If customer is eligible, then claim will be reviewed to see if it will be approved. The following documentation will be required as proof of loss:
ACCIDENTAL DEATH CLAIM:
• Death Certificate must be provided
