How is the Utility Bill Pay Plan administrated?
The Utility Bill Pay Plan will be easy to administer. National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa., an American International Group, Inc. (AIG) company can provide end-to-end service – from insurance purchase through claims administration.
When can our customers sign up for the Utility Bill Pay Plan?
Your customers can enroll in the Utility Bill Pay Plan within 60-days from the time they initially sign up for your service or during an open enrollment period, provided they are current with their bill payments to you. Open enrollment periods are arranged on a schedule that is mutually agreed upon.
When would coverage begin for my customers?
Utility Bill Pay Plan coverage becomes e ective on the rst day of your customer’s utility bill billing cycle following the date your customer’s enrollment has been received by National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa.
What is accidental death coverage?
Accidental Death means loss of life resulting from injury that occurs within 365 days of the accident that caused the injury. Upon our receipt of satisfactory proof of a covered accidental death of an enrolled customer, or his/ her enrolled spouse if the Household Plan was selected, the Plan will pay your customer’s utility bill up to $500 per month for up to six months as long as your customer’s utility account remains active.
What is the disability coverage?
Disability means your enrolled customer’s (or your customer’s spouse’s, if the household plan is selected)
inability to continue to perform normal daily duties or activities of existing full-time employment at the time of the claim and during the bene t period due to an injury or sickness. A 60-day waiting period and 30-day elimination period will need to be satis ed before bene ts are payable. Just like the accidental death bene t, the Plan would cover your customer’s utility bill for up to $500 per month for
up to 6 months for a covered disability of your enrolled customer and his/her enrolled spouse.
What is involuntary unemployment coverage?
Involuntary unemployment means the loss of your enrolled customer’s or their spouse’s full-time employment arising out of the unilateral decision of the Employer to terminate his or her employment for reasons covered under the Plan, and as a result, your enrolled customer or the enrolled spouse actively receives state unemployment bene ts under applicable state rules. A 60-day waiting period and 30-day elimination period will need to be satis ed before bene ts are payable. Just like the accidental death bene t and disability bene t, the Plan would cover your customer’s utility bill for up to $500 per month for up to 6 months for
a covered involuntary unemployment for your enrolled customer and his/her enrolled spouse.
