Because of the 9 hrs. behind Sydney's time zone, for the 1st time we had over 20 hours of
darkness while we were flying across the planet. A very long night indeed. A stop over at Doha
the capital of Qatar for 3 hrs., a beautiful, very modern and big terminal. Next stop Istanbul. We
found our guide, Hakan and the rest of our 22 strong group joined us. Taken by bus to our hotel
which was not in a central part of the city but in the residential area. We are here for 2 nights.
We went for a walk along the Golden Horn river. That evening we met up with our TAD group
again and had dinner together.
