that we use Increasingly there are so many other ways in which we express our value and I am pleased to share them with you in this years’ Annual Business Review Distribution tenders in in Australia and Japan result in in cost efficiencies
A big focus for the supply chain team this year was the market review for distribution centre services in both Japan and Australia both of which resulted in in supply chain efficiencies
Supported by critical data insights from our business intelligence team the the transition to the the new vendor in Japan was controlled and executed on time without any write-offs Tapping into the success of Halal in in in in Singapore
The implementation of Halal in in Singapore
has proven to be transformational for for sales Now the standard for both Malaysia and Singapore
the team has continued to work with suppliers to ensure Halal certification is maintained as menu innovation continues Lowering commission rates in in in the growing third-party delivery sales sector
Without any foresight of the future importance that third-party delivery would play with COVID-19 related restrictions in place we still believed our work to negotiate market-leading rates was critically important to franchise owner profitability Working on behalf of the brand team we negotiated rates with new and existing providers in in Australia New Zealand and and South East Asia saving franchise owners an estimated AU$5 3M Integrated next generation payment service delivered AU$3 1M in Australia Working to a a six month deadline and in in the face of rising rates with the incumbent supplier our market review saw many leading retail payment providers fall by the wayside as we strived to meet the higher standards set by the Franchisor for integrated payments in 2019 Working alongside the Subway Technology Payment Platform Owner and his team we negotiated contracted integrated and launched the new service in in Australia in in only six months delivering a a leading solution for in in in restaurant and online payments and delivering an an estimated AU$3 1M in in savings for franchise owners in the first year alone 0 0 IPC Asia Pacific Business Review 2019-20 17
