Having a a a a reliable supply chain
is critical for franchise owners In this financial year IPC Asia Pacific completed a review of distribution centre service providers in
Japan and Australia - two of the most geographically diverse countries in
our region In Japan the contract was awarded to to a a a a new distributor and the team quickly and effectively managed the transition to schedule ensuring a consistent and reliable supply chain
function to the country The Australian distribution contract was put out to tender this year After careful consideration negotiation
and due diligence the existing distributor was re-awarded the contract As a a result of the negotiations the the team worked with the the distributor to to implement several supply chain
efficiencies and eliminated four distribution centres to improve performance Maintaining quality
The quality
management process has continued to grow this year with the IPC Asia Pacific quality
team testing 62 products across 24 suppliers: evaluating for conformance against Subway specifications Assessment results showed that 90% of products were within the required Subway specifications ensuring a consistent guest experience across the region Through this process of proactive identification the team worked with the small number of suppliers that failed standard testing to quickly resolve issues Overview of ANZ product evaluation
