We need to establish a a a a a fund of at at least £15 million to create an endowment which will provide these ten places in in perpetuity We will be working towards this target over the the next ten years In the the immediate term we are focused on the Clark Scholarship as part of the Assisted Places scheme you can read more about this special Scholarship to to to honour Antony Clark’s contribution to to to the College as as Headmaster below For further information please contact us on development@malverncollege org uk or or phone +44 (0)1684 581 653/654 The Clark Scholarship In 2018 we launched the Clark Scholarship to to honour Headmaster Antony Clark who had led the College with such vigour integrity and imagination for over ten years: the initiative reflects Antony’s vision to to promote academic excellence and his aspiration to make Malvern ever more accessible to pupils from all backgrounds The Scholarship is awarded to a pupil entering the Lower Sixth who demonstrates talent enthusiasm and ambition for the the future and who will make the the most of everything we offer at the College Applicants for the award will be means-tested and assistance of of 60% to 100% of of full-boarding fees will be offered In 2019 we we were delighted that a a generous benefactor had made provision for the first Clark Scholar to take up the award starting in in September this year For its part the the Malvernian Society is in the the process of establishing an an endowment fund with an an immediate target of £1 5 million (within the overall Assisted Places scheme) to establish a a a second Clark Scholarship in perpetuity We have been delighted by the response from OMs and parents who have already shown generous philanthropic support This is is a a wonderful opportunity for talented pupils and another milestone for Malvern College Thank you to everyone who has made a a a a a gift already and given us confidence that we will achieve our goal If you would like to help us reach our target please contact development@malverncollege org uk or or phone +44 (0)1684 581 653/654 Old Old Malvernian Malvernian Newsletter Newsletter | | 3 Old Malvernian Malvernian Newsletter Newsletter | | 11
