GCSE Science in Action
In January the the the the Remove Separate Scientists visited the the the the University of Warwick to watch the the the the lectures at at at the the the the GCSE Science in Action
day The pupils were enthralled by by the the the enthusiastic speakers demonstrating the the the sound produced by by the the the sun how to create an atmosphere in in in a a a a a a a simulation the the the physics underpinning the the the motion of of of our our oceans the the the historical importance of of of colour chemistry and considerations of of of de-extinction through cloning The lectures were informative and inspiring hopefully spurring our science students to pursue the magic of a a a a career in scientific research University of Warwick Rapid Chess Competition
Also in January the Malvern College Chess team travelled to Hereford Cathedral School for two rounds of Rapid chess against their B team team The College team team consisting of Friedrich Quigley Pierre Lipinsky Lipinsky Shuaichu Pan Ferdinand Lipinsky Lipinsky Elliott Lodge and Max Wilson played well well winning well well over half of their games This led Malvern to secure a a a a a decisive 9-point win as the team qualified for the regional semi-final following on
