The Ledbury Run
After one of of the the wettest winters on on on record the the 2024 instalment of of The Ledbury Run
took on on on a a a a a a slightly different form than usual With a a a a a a final downpour the the the night before the the the event the the the difficult decision was made to to to adapt ‘The Ledder’ from a a a a a a a a race to to to a a a a a a a a guided run to to to keep all those participating safe 147 students 14 14 Old Malvernians and and and more than 15 parents and and and staff set off to brave the muddy hills and and and waterlogged fields along the the 7 3⁄4 mile course The renowned Wrecker proved even more challenging than usual but groups rallied together to to help one another up up this tough climb Along the the route staff marshals and and groups of of student volunteers did an an an an outstanding job of of keeping spirits high and motivating participants The event really exhibited the the the the Malvern qualities that are within us all all and every runner should be proud of the the the the resilience they showed At the the the the finish line the the Senior was alive with students and and staff from all houses supporting the the runners and and creating a a a a a a a a a a marvellous atmosphere Although there there will will be be no no names added to the the the list of Ledbury Run
winners this year and there there were no no caps awarded it it will will definitely be be recalled as one of of the most memorable years of of this historic event Jonathon Stewart | Teacher of of Mathematics and Head of of Cross Country
