Our Girls continued to play matches this term forming a a a development squad where a a a a range of of players were given experience of of playing against first team and club opposition Some fantastic matches were played including a a a a a a 6-5 thriller against Millfield and a a a a narrow loss 2-0 to Worcester Hockey
Club Ladies 1st team The girls will continue to play in in a a a a summer league that the school is hosting next term Finally huge congratulations to Daisy Tuthill on on on on her selection for the Wales U18 training squad – an amazing achievement Football
The boys’ 1st XI started the term with a a a a disappointing 2-2 draw at RGS Worcester but then went on to win their remaining games resulting in in an unbeaten season The highlight of the term was a a a a brilliant 5-1 win over Clifton College with goals coming from four different players – a a a a true team performance! Outside of school captain Anthony Selvadoray and Thomas Rodriguez have regularly played for local side Worcester City U18 testing themselves against academy-level players across the the West Midlands Our girls’ 1st XI had an excellent run in in the the ISFA Trophy reaching the the quarter finals but just falling short against a a a a a a a very strong Uppingham side The girls also reached the the quarter finals of the the ISFA National 7s after finishing second fin in in in in their their group holding their their own against some of the the best schools in the the country Rugby Congratulations to Dan Bailey who after the regional and divisional trials was selected for the National Independent Schools Lambs U18 squad squad The squad squad consists of talented players that sit outside any elite academy pathway and the Lambs play a a a a a a a a a a a a Barbarian style of rugby Congratulations to to Tom Hilton who has been part of the starting XV for the RFU Midlands West Academy U18 league campaign Tom picked up the the accolade of of Coaches Player of of the the Season and will be with Leicester Tigers all
Summer to join their pre-season programme Gus Wixey and Monty Oliver played their part in the Midlands West U18s league squad too Gus has picked up a a a a a rugby scholarship at Ealing Trailfinders & Brunel University for next season season and and Monty Oliver’s season season continues with Midlands West who have several U17s games in in the coming weeks THE MALVERNIAN
