Derek Leary
Hello, I am Derek Leary and have owned 3 Bay window T2s from new. The last of which was purchased in 1979 and is still a member of my family, along with a T5 purchased in 2009. My involvement with VWs goes back to 1971 and I joined the VWT2OC in 1992. At present I am a serving committee member and assist with the club shop and promotion stand/camping and above all I look after the VWT2OC O cial page on Facebook.
Maggie Ward
I am Maggie, the Club Secretary for VWT2OC and have been a member for 20 years. Bob and I have been the proud owner of a VW 1974 Bay (Ginger) for the last 20 Years. We wanted a van to go to music festivals i.e. Glastonbury, IOW, Cropredy, plus many others over the years. Now it is more likely to be at one of the many van shows throughout the summer & autumn months.
Bob Ward
I am Bob, a General Committee member. I am available to help where ever needed. Maggie and I look forward to the warm summer evenings when we can take o in the van and travel around the UK with Freddie, our little dog (well not that little, he’s a Rottweiler) he loves going out in the van. The van is usually tucked away for the winter, but comes out at spring for any maintenance that may need doing so it’s ready for the summer months.
Malcolm Marchbank - Chairman
I have been a member of the club for 20 years and was co-opted onto the committee a few years ago, rst as a general member, then discount manager, then membership secretary and nally chairman. I am an engineer and have several “classics”, so my approach is a practical one. The club has changed over the years and I am seeking ways to provide the club with what our members want and to that end, I shall be asking for your engagement in the running of your club.
Val Lewis
I have been a member of VWT2OC since 1997. I joined the committee in 2014 and became joint membership secretary with my partner Malcolm. I took over the position solely when Malcolm became the Chairman in 2016. I try to involve the members in the club as it is their club and try to keep the member database in order and I am always at the end of an e mail for any member queries.
