Rackets
Just recently our Rackets players have had a wonderful afternoon against Rugby School, with most matches going the full distance. Our first pair, Dan Holland and Aaron Thomson, lost 3-1; the second pair, Gus Stephenson and James Dawson, won 3-2 and the U15As, Olly Cox and Rehaan Edavalath, lost 3-1.
Golf
In Golf, congratulations go to Izzy Lloyd who has been selected for the England U18 South West squad and will be playing in the Paris Junior Cup over half-term. Izzy has recently won the Kendleshire GC Junior Open, Lilleybrook GC Junior Open and the Tewkesbury Park Golf Club finals as well as the Tewkesbury Ladies’ Scratch Knockout competition on the same day. Well done Izzy!

Our 1st XV Rugby players had a great victory by 28-22 over Monmouth in the Border Shield at the Ledbury Rugby Club on Friday before just under a thousand people. Nick Yeoward, our Captain, was Man of the Match but that honour could have been bestowed on any player so great was the intensity with which our team played. Vansh Ladwa, Ludo Staley, Harry Sillence, Imoesi Ogwemoh, Monty Lampard, James Wakefield and Henry Forbes caught the eye. This was a great evening, not only for the rugby players, but also for our parents and friends. The U14A team beat Monmouth 29-0 and, at the time of writing and after four games, have not yet conceded a try against them.
Malvern College has been raising funds to help support underprivileged children from the slums of Mumbai and providing them with the opportunity to participate in a football tour of several UK schools
over the past month. The Countess of Wessex has also been supportive of this venture and it was a delight to have the team visit us over last week. This was a life-changing experience for the girls on their OSCAR Foundation #kicklikeagirl UK tour and they certainly impressed with their ball skills and Barcelona- style short passing game. Our Under 18 girls, playing together for the first time, competed strongly throughout the match but, ultimately, lost 5-1 with Cate Mercurio scoring our goal. Megan Jones made an impressive debut, Millie Page was superb in goal and Savanna Desmarquest, Beatrice Barnes and Hannah Taylor all defended tirelessly. Esther Woods was outstanding in midfield and our Player of the Match.
Girls’ Hockey
Our girls’ 1st XI Hockey won their most recent match 8-0 against Cheltenham Ladies’ College in the England Cup with two goals from Hannah Atkinson and further goals from Antonia Worrallo, Poppy Underwood and Charley Atkinson. Our Player of the Match was Hannah Atkinson. Our girls are enjoying enormous success at all levels with, for example, the 2nds winning their match 3-1, the 3rds 7-0, the U15As 5-0 and the U14As 7-1.
