PREVENT / ANTI-RADICALISATION
In 2011 the UK Government published a strategy known as “Prevent” The strategy has 3 aims;
To respond to the ideological challenge of terrorism and the threats the UK face from those who promote it
Prevent people from being drawn into terrorism and ensure that they are given appropriate advice and support
Work with sectors and institutions where there may be risks of radicalisation
All College Guardians staff have undergone training on how to recognise signs of radicalisation, if you have any concerns for either yourself or your friends please let College Guardians know as soon as possible.
