Malvern College’s Green Giving Day has been awarded the ‘Schools’ Fundraising Campaign of the Year’ Award at this year’s The Institute of Development Professionals in Education (IDPE) Development Awards.
The Awards showcase and celebrate excellence in UK schools’ fundraising and engagement, and they are committed to championing innovation and brilliance across the schools’ development sector, recognising exceptional achievements.
This Award means an enormous amount as it recognises the incredible hard work of everyone involved in our Green Giving Day throughout the College and Malvern College’s vision for a Net Zero campus. We are so grateful to the generosity shown by the Malvernian community for this first Green Giving Day, through which
we achieved an incredible amount - £134,776 - to kick start the College’s Green Fund. We believe we are the first independent school in the country to have done this. The College’s 10 Year Masterplan is in its final stages and sustainability is being placed at its heart. The Green Fund will help to realise the College’s green ambitions: to reduce our carbon footprint, preserve our heritage buildings, and make learning environments sustainable for future generations. We are thrilled the Malvernian Society’s new Green Fund will go towards funding this.
We will be holding a second Green Giving Day on 5/6 November next year – more details to follow!
