It is great to see so many of our pupils selected for their respective counties for the winter and summer programmes. We have boys and girls training with Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Cheshire and Herefordshire for the 2024 season. Well done to them all and we wish them a productive and successful year.
Four of our pupils have also been selected for their county academies for the 2024 season. Toby C (No.5) Worcestershire, JT L (SH) Somerset, Ben C Worcestershire (No.9) Josh L Worcestershire (SH).
Rugby Dinner 2023
On Saturday 25 November, over 160 guests were treated to an excellent evening of entertainment at the College’s annual Rugby Dinner. Our Guest Speaker, Jamie Roberts, was on fantastic form, giving insight and humour to his highly decorated rugby career; Jamie has represented Cardiff, Wales, British and Irish Lions, Barbarians, Harlequins, Bath, Stormers and the Waratahs. The audience consisted of OMs, College staff, parents, ex- College parents, prep school staff and local rugby enthusiasts. This was the tenth College Rugby Dinner. Jamie was following in some big footsteps in the shape of Brian Moore, David Flatman, Scott Quinnell, Doddie Weir, Sean Fitzpatrick, Phil Bennett, Rob Andrew, Johnathon Davies, John Devereux and Gavin Hastings, and he certainly did not disappoint. We will be making a donation to the Doddie Weir foundation in due course.
