 FAST FACTS
ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT
PROVIDING TRANSFORMATIONAL LEARNING
     The Super-Curricular
Lower School: We believe that a rich and meaningful education means moving beyond the classroom. We want every pupil to have the opportunity to develop a love of life- long learning with access to a range of societies and activities designed to engage and inspire. These activities take many forms; from participating in academic competitions, presentations, and debates, to simply undertaking additional, wider reading and research in both traditional and contemporary media.
The Aston Society enthuses and motivates intellectually curious Lower School pupils to extend their interest in a wide range of academic and co-curricular areas.
Sixth Form: The Wheeler-Bennett Society, led by the Sixth Form, promotes the stimulation and exchange of ideas, giving pupils the skills for deep topic research and public presentation. The Lucretian Society helps pupils explore developments in modern science and The Weatherill Society exposes pupils to economics, business and politics, promoting thought and discussion on today’s key issues.
Super Curricular activities help pupils develop intellectual curiosity beyond the confines of examination and a passion for advancing their own knowledge by bringing their education to life.

*QinetiQ is a British multinational defence technology company headquartered in Farnborough, Hampshire, with a campus adjacent to Malvern College.
Foundation Year Pupil Passport
The Foundation Year, Year 9 (FY) is a great time to develop the wide-ranging and transferable skills that will be needed as pupils work their way through school and go on to study at university or straight into work.
The FY Pupil Passport is an important
tool in building the foundations and skills pupils will need to successfully tackle their GCSE, IGCSE programmes, A Level or IB as well as the wider skills they are
going to need beyond College.
Each term, FY pupils are given a workbook in which they provide a written record of their progress against the following:

This log supports and monitors each pupils progress with softer skills such as working together, creativity, communication, analysis and evaluation, self reflection. These skills are necessary as pupils move through the school and certainly for life after Malvern College.
