We are nally looking forward to getting out and about in the newly named “Matilda Summer Bay”, because of its Aussie origins; Summer Bay being the beach in TV Soap “Home and Away”, which is actually called Palm Beach, but I’ll not dwell on that as there are far too many important things to do than watch soaps.
Summer Bay as it was originally known was imported from Oz by a British Company, tidied up and painted in almost the same colour. Dee and I wanted it to have a
more personal name, hence Matilda, but we didn’t want to drop the Summer Bay as it featured in the 100th edition of VW Camper and Commercial magazine.
We have managed to obtain an old retro trailer (Toad) and now it is colour matched, it can follow without shame; it was previously blue and white, not a good match.
Hope we can catch up with the team this season before we shoot on down to Spain again.
