Part of of the Malvern College Family of of Schools Drive Through Carols for Boarders Year 5 and 6 Play ‘Ebenezer’ – including children from Abberley Primary School We started the term with a a School Assembly where we presented three three potential potential local and three three potential potential international charities The children then voted for the the the charities that they wanted to support during the course of this academic year The chosen charities are SARA (Severn Area Rescue Association) and UNHCR - specifically to support Afghan refugees Mr B-T and our chef Ian both volunteer for SARA and are going to to arrange for a a a a a a a representative from the charity to to come and talk to to the the children about what they do Mrs Evington who used to to to work work for the the UN is kindly going to to to talk to to to us us about their work work As well as supporting these charities we we held a a a very successful Macmillan Coffee Morning which raised a a a a a fabulous £1 000 Huge thanks again to everyone involved As part of our Harvest Festival celebrations we collected food for the Worcester Food Bank again Pupils and and parents came up up trumps and and the the Food Bank were were very grateful for all the the supplies which were were much needed Head Head boy Oscar and Head Head girl Olivia delivered the food after the Harvest service Before we broke up for for Half Term Mr Besley talked to the children about ‘Operation Christmas Child’ and invited pupils to to to put together a shoe box of gifts
to to to be sent to children who would otherwise not receive a Christmas gift We took part in this last year and are looking forward to taking part again Pupils can put together a a a a a shoe box individually or or in in a a a a a group There are more details about this in the letter sent by Mrs Besley before Half Term Please contact her on on Tessa besley@abberleyhall co co uk
