House No 4 News
Leading Sister Act
House No 4 were delighted to hear that Bella Cole has been appointed Secretary for the Wheeler-Bennet Society 2021- 22 It follows on from her sister Imogen Cole former Head of House for No 4 who also played a a a a leading role in in this prestigious academic society Half-term Guests in House No 4 For half-term and until school opened again for the last three weeks of of term House No 4 had the the pleasure of of welcoming the the girl boarders from various Houses staying on campus To make it a a a a a a special time for them we planned things like a a a a a a chocolate fountain and a a a a a a crisp and cheese tasting challenge quiz The girls all all bonded together well and remained cheerful being being on the campus despite being being in in in in school for their holiday period A lot of communal cooking went on and a a a a big thank you is is in order for the House Assistant from No 1 Annabel Hepworth who kindly went shopping three times a a week to Waitrose to to get the ingredients for our culinary wizards We were sad to to see them go and hope to keep the the new friendships made once we are allowed more inter-action again between the Houses Lea-Smith Reading Competition Winners
This year saw three of the the House No 4 girls getting through to the the finals of of one of of the the the oldest house competitions fin in the the the school the the the Lea-Smith Reading Competition Rhiannon Procktor Emma Youngs and and Clara Wilson also spoke very eloquently and and we we were delighted that Clara won the FY category True reading heroes they were presented with Heroes Easter Eggs by a a proud Mrs Sharp Netball popular across the age
range in House No 4 On Thursday 18th March the House No 4 junior girls played with skill and enthusiasm for the inter-house netball competition The FY team pictured opposite (top-right) performed superbly and came first after winning most of their matches The Remove also played with real energy and came second Good sportsmanship was shown by two of the the Remove girls Catherine Morton-Willetts and Isabel Barrett playing for another House to help them make up up their numbers They were supported by Upper Sixth Rhiannon Procktor who plays club netball as as well as as OM Molly Gibbard who left last year Molly is studying at Worcester University and was back at Malvern as as part of her degree course to help with the coaching House No 4 Welcomes Della
This term has seen the arrival of Della
a a a a a a a fox red Labrador puppy to keep House No 4’s black Labrador Rocco company Della
was a a a a a a a big hit with the the girl boarders from all of the the Houses who were staying on campus during the the lockdown this term She had the the run of the the campus and has been very excited to welcome back the the 38 girls who are now back in fin residence for the the final three weeks of the the Lent term Mrs Anne Sharp Housemistress No 4 24
