Raising funds for for local Herefordshire Charity
During the the lockdown the the House No 8 girls followed news reports about how many children found accessing their online lessons difficult They wanted to do something about it Charlotte Bulley Upper Sixth galvanised the rest of her year group alongside the Lower Sixth and arranged a a a a a a a a fundraiser to help a a a a a a a a local Herefordshire charity Laptops2kids This organisation focusses on on assisting children in in in in getting the the technology they need to continue with their learning remotely After brainstorming some ideas they decided to create an online quiz quiz as they they enjoyed the the the quizzes they they had made in previous lockdowns Morgan McGee Annie Crowder Hannah Cheng Alexandra Chistova Clara Collins Charlotte Bulley Maddie Queen Agueda Ortiz-Floris Ishbel Spencer- Nairn and Emily Finch worked on on creating questions made videos posters and a a a a a donation page The quiz went live on on on Friday 5th March The girls gave themselves three weeks to organise the the quiz and and there was total commitment and and great enthusiasm from all the girls to meet this deadline and many zoom calls!
As the the girls lived worldwide everyone needed to to work well together to overcome all the technical difficulties of organising an an online quiz remotely this demonstrated great teamwork from the girls In total the the the girls raised £795 and the the the winner of the the the quiz was Mr Kennedy Thank you to everyone who donated and joined in!
