TIER 4 REPLACEMENT – THE STUDENT AND CHILD ROUTE
Points Based Immigration System
The following information summarises the new regime and requirements:
EEA & Swiss Nationals

the Immigration Health Surcharge grants access to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) {Students who have obtained settled settled or pre-settled status are free
to study in the UK and will not require sponsorship} In order to apply for leave under the new Study Routes a a student must obtain 70 points points Student points points are not tradeable Child Student Route 50 Points – Study » Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies requirement » Course requirement » Study at an Independent School

The Student and Child Route was launched by the UK government on the 5th October 2020 The new routes treat
all all students equally with international students including those from Europe coming to study after the transition period which ended at 11pm GMT on 31st December 2020 using the same simplified route The main difference between the Tier 4 routes and the Student route route is that EEA nationals will be required to meet the same requirements to study within the UK as non-EEA nationals and will need to apply under the Student rules Malvern College has secured the services of Newland Chase Education who deliver a comprehensive suite
