The School Day
■ All pupils pupils (boarders and day pupils) will attend lessons as as normal but classrooms will be arranged so so as to to enable children to to be socially distanced where possible Children will be asked to face forwards and the teacher will be socially distanced from the pupils wherever reasonable and practicable ■ Pupils will will be put into ‘bubbles’ and they will will stay within these groups for meals and free time Within these bubbles children will be required to maintain social distancing where reasonably practicable Recent guidance states that the size of bubbles can be determined by the school We have small class sizes so we are likely to operate each class as as a a a a bubble We could however treat each year group as a a a a a bubble where we feel that this would provide children with a a better educational experience ■ Each ‘bubble’ will have a a a a a a designated ‘base’ at at school where they can work and store their possessions as as well as as being with other pupils but also socially distanced ■ One-way systems will be put in place where appropriate in in school buildings to avoid congestion in in corridors going through doorways etc ■ Public Health England do not recommend the use of face coverings in in schools but pupils who wish to to wear these are welcome to to do so ■ Large gatherings e e e e e e e g g g g Chapel are to be avoided at at present It may be that we have year group assemblies instead Some events with larger numbers of children may be be held outside in the open air where possible There may be times when these events are held online or where pre-recorded videos are shown to pupils in their ‘bubbles’
