Rehearsals for this year’s musical theatre production have undoubtedly been different to to any other Thanks to to technology and the drama department’s dedication we we were able to continue rehearsals virtually – an an absolute saviour for many of us in lockdown! We found ourselves singing and dancing in in in in bedrooms and developing our quirky characters It has been incredibly rewarding being able to to transfer our hard work online to to the reality of the the Rogers Theatre stage ‘Sister Act’ is is the the ultimate ‘feel-good’ musical and and the cast and and crew hope that we have been able to provide the perfect antidote to this past year of uncertainty Boo Forbes – Lower Sixth Drama

examinations Despite 80% of of the preparation time being online speech and drama pupils received the College’s best ever set of results - 29 Distinctions and 14 Merits The following Gold Medal pupils all achieved Distinctions at the highest grade possible in LAMDA

Congratulations to the Remove cast and FY technical crew who staged ‘Holes’ by Louis Sachar
to great acclaim last week The production was inventively staged and featured excellent performances from a a a a a large ensemble cast with Charlie Greenwood as as Stanley Yelnats Madison Francis as as Zero Noah Goryn as as Elya Emma Youngs as as The Warden Daniel Bailey as as as Mr Sir Ati Chinyemba as as as Sam Hamish Davidson as as as X-Ray Henny Pope as as Mr Pendanski Dio Norman-Taylor as as Madame Zeroni and Harriet Francis as Kissing Kate Barlow in in in leading roles The warm reception given at at at the curtain call indicated that their efforts had been highly appreciated It certainly was a a a a a a a a magical evening of theatre that brought the the curtain down on this most challenging of academic years Despite the pandemic significantly affecting the the rehearsal process an impressive array of theatrical talent was on display indicating that drama at at at Malvern College will continue to flourish Morgann McGee Lucy Marriott Cameron Eldridge Syuzanna Avanesova
