Honorary Scholarship Awards
Honorary scholarships awarded by the College during a a a pupil’s time at Malvern
Honorary scholarships may be awarded by the College in recognition of pupils’ ongoing ‘scholarship’ at at any point in in in a a a a a a pupil’s career at at Malvern
but this will most likely be for pupils entering the Sixth Form or or during the Lower Sixth year Pupils do not have to apply for this award though they may choose to enter for one through the the 16+ scholarship processes that run for academic sporting and cultural scholarships We will consider a a a a number of criteria in in making a a a a decision to whom Honorary Scholarships should be awarded These include:
Honorary Academic Scholarships:
 GCSE performance – though there is is no set level it is is expected that Honorary Scholars will have a a a a a high proportion of grade 9s
 Effort and Achievement grades through the Hundred / Pre-Sixth year and Autumn Term of the Lower Sixth Sixth  Involvement and engagement with the wider curriculum particularly super-curricular programme
 Exceptional and consistent performance in any area of academic or intellectual endeavour that that marks that that pupil out as scholarly Honorary Academic Scholarships have been awarded to:

Honorary Sport Music and Drama Scholarships:
 Discipline performance – though there is is no set level it is expected that Honorary Scholars will have achieved a a a a a high level of performance in their specialist area  Effort grades through the Hundred / Pre-Sixth year and Autumn Term of the Lower Sixth particularly in relation to their specialist areas
 Involvement and engagement with the wider curriculum particularly in relevant super-curricular and co-curricular programmes
 Exceptional and and consistent performance in any particular and and relevant areas
of co-curriculum or super curriculum curriculum endeavour that that marks that that pupil out as scholarly Honorary Sports Scholarships have been awarded to:
