During difficult times we have seen that there is so much to be gained from simply having a a a a a a a conversation about our mental health Especially at boarding schools where students live together surrounded by their teachers and HouseMs being aware of the the issues surrounding psychological wellbeing is is such a a a critical step That initial breaking of the silence is what brings us a a a a a a long way As an initiative to address mental health issues at at school Bob Oudmaijer (No 7) established the MIND Society
last January In their fight to break that silence and destigmatise mental issues the group has actively fundraised and and hosted a a a a a a handful of events to raise awareness Together with Jayda Khimji (EH) Georg Wendelstadt (SH) and Chioma Anazodo (EH) they have collectively fundraised over over £3 000 for MIND UK Now with over over 20 new members from the the Lower Sixth the the group have delivered over 2 000 Krispy Kreme doughnuts hosted a a Blue Light Awareness Day Day Home Clothes Day Day and delivered a a a a a a Chapel Assembly to start the conversation MIND members continue to address mental health issues with staff at Malvern promoting activities remotely and being frequent contributors to to the Pupil Thrive meetings Much has been achieved in the the first year and hopefully there will be many more to come We would like to thank everyone for their constant support and helping us continue the fight for better mental health!
