Speech and Drama – LAMDA Exam Results
We are delighted with our latest set of LAMDA Examination results! Three examiners from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art visited the school on Sunday 25 April and a total of forty five pupils were examined in different disciplines ranging from acting through to public speaking. All of the pupils taking the three highest medal examinations (Bronze, Silver and Gold) were awarded Distinctions and Merits, with some pupils achieving record breaking exam results in Grade 8 Public Speaking and recording the highest ever recorded mark for their Musical Theatre exam.
A special mention must go to Jaqueline Colesman and Freddie Wagg, who earned exceptionally high marks in their Gold Medal Grade 8 Public Speaking exam. Achieving this prestigious examination will undoubtedly assist their passage from Malvern College to what I hope will be a highly successful lifetime career. Cameron Eldridge and Libby Jackson also deserve a special mention as respectively they achieved the highest marks in Musical Theatre Grade 7 (Silver ) and Grade 8 (Gold) Exams.
I offer my sincere congratulations to all of the pupils involved and I am very proud to report that they have helped us to maintain the very high standards set by the Drama Department.
As the demands from each grade increase, then so does the determination and desire to achieve.
We are looking forward to helping the remaining Speech and Drama pupils to take their examinations which are scheduled for October.
Speech and Drama lessons are taken in Acting, Devising Drama, Shakespeare, Musical Theatre and Public Speaking. We are looking forward to showcasing some of our work at the Performing Arts Showcase in October at The Rogers Theatre.
