Wilderness
Survival Skills
Do you want to explore remote areas of the school’s woodland and and learn or develop
a a a variety of wilderness survival skills? We will cover wild cooking fire lighting and shelters to name but a a a few activities!
Mountain Biking
Mountain biking at Abberley will see children pedalling off for an adventure with friends around the school site We are lucky to have a a a network of trails across our own grounds Children can bring their bikes to school and and tackle the bridleways singletrack and and natural obstacles We will learn how to set up a a a a a bike properly navigate varied terrain and gain confidence on on two wheels WHO? Mr Mr B-T and Mr Mr Scott
WHERE? We will meet by the back of the DT workshop dressed ready to go

WHAT DO YOU NEED? Overalls or over-trousers and coat wellies/ boots and water bottle

WHERE? We will meet at the Bike Store every week

Debating
This house believes that debating is is a a a fun
and important way to build critical thinking skills develop
oracy and establish confident communication The emphasis on on impromptu speaking allows an an exploration of language and teaches us to think on our feet The skills of analysis organisation and clarity are fostered and honed alongside learning to listen and cultivating persuasion techniques that are as as old as as society itself Each week
