On Sunday 23 April Rt Revd John Inge Bishop of Worcester confirmed 12 pupils from from the the the College together with three youngsters from from the the the Priory in in the College chapel The young people were supported by a a a a a a a a large congregation of family and friends for this important occasion in in their lives The start of the the the service was slightly delayed by the the the government emergency warning sent to mobile phones but Bishop John used this in in his his address to say there are are times in in life when we are are surprised by events and our faith can hold us on on these occasions The Chamber Choir enhanced the the the the the worship by singing the the the the the anthems during the the the the the distribution of communion Afterwards we celebrated with the the the the the newly confirmed at a a a a a tea hosted by the Headmaster Ordination
Adam Wharton was ordained a a a a a priest by the Bishop of Worcester Rt Revd Dr John Inge on Saturday 1 July at at at Worcester Cathedral Adam is is serving his curacy here at at at the College and also at at at Great Malvern Priory Priory and celebrated his first Eucharist in the the Priory Priory the the day after his ordination It was a a a a a a a wonderful weekend and marks another step along Adam’s journey as he seeks to serve God in in his calling Adam will continue in in in in his role as as assistant chaplain working with the Chaplain in in in in underpinning the the Christian ethos at the the College David Ibbotson | College Chaplain 16
