Chapel
The Chapel
was designed by Arthur Blomfield R A and was dedicated in 1899 It is the focal point of of the the religious and corporate life of of the the College and the the services follow the the Anglican tradition Chapel
services are designed to be relevant and helpful to all members of the community regardless of belief Services
There are typically two acts of worship each week on Thursday and Saturday both at at 08 25 The Thursday service is 15 minutes long and gives a a a variety of of members of of the College community the opportunity to offer some reflections on on an an issue of importance
or or relevance to the community It will normally include music either a a hymn or a a pupil performance It is intended to offer a a ‘thought for the day’ during this service It is is often taken by pupils On Saturdays we hold our main act of of worship of of the week This lasts approximately 30 minutes On a a a a typical Saturday the service consists of hymns a a a bible reading a a a short address and prayers The service includes an an anthem sung by the the Chapel
Choir The address is typically given
by the the Chaplain a a a a member of the the College or a a a a visiting speaker It is is possible for pupils to attend a a a a local Church on on Sundays in addition to College Chapel
