Mrs Lucy Davies is our full-time counsellor Mrs Davies is is a a a a dual qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC registered) and CBT therapist accredited by BABCP (British Association of Behavioural and Counselling
Psychotherapy) As well as counselling appointments her role includes mental health screening detailed referrals to appropriate external agencies risk assessments and staff training She is based in in in the Medical Centre but also attend House lunches and provide drop-in clinics in in in in Houses which increases accessibility of counselling services to pupils Typical issues the counsellors
might help with include study stress social problems organisational skills assertiveness homesickness and family problems The Safeguarding and Pastoral Teams work closely with the School Counsellor Pupils

are bound by strict standards of confidentiality set by their professional governing bodies the NMC and BABCP Confidentiality is made explicit at the start of sessions and if information does need to be shared the student will always be told of the need for this unless there is is is a a a a safeguarding issue that prevents this 12
