University of Oxford Visit
Eight Lower Sixth pupils who are hoping to to to apply to to to the the University of of Oxford this autumn had a a a a a a a memorable visit to to to the the City of of Dreaming Spires earlier this term The sun was shining college gardens were were were looking beautiful bells were were were chiming undergraduates were were were wearing ‘Sub Fusc’ formal wear to to take their their final exams pro-Palestinian demonstrators were exercising their their right of free speech morris dancers and tipsy revellers were celebrating May Day Best of all OMs Josi Jebens (who (who is is is is studying studying Biochemistry at at at Merton) and Ani King (who (who is is is is studying studying English at at at Oriel) gave us wonderful guided tours of their colleges and and answered the the pupils’ many insightful questions about student life and and academic work and and how best to to to prepare to to to apply to to to this elite university It was a a a a a a a a a a a thoroughly enjoyable informative and and inspirational day!
