University of Cambridge Visit
Ten Lower Sixth pupils who are considering applying to to Cambridge next term travelled cross-country to to visit the University The morning was spent looking round the the older colleges such as Magdalene King’s Pembroke and and Peterhouse and and in in in the the afternoon we saw parts of ‘new Cambridge’ including Robinson College and and the the Arts and and Humanities faculties on on the the Sidgwick Site OM Ginny Lawrence showed us around the the Engineering labs and gave us an an an excellent insight into what student life is like Dr Jeremy Thurlow answered pupils’ questions about the the rigorous application process and and gave invaluable advice on on on how best to deal with the the infamous interviews It was a a a a a a a a a a a a a long journey there and and back in in the the school minibus - but very well worth the the effort!
