If you don't have an oil gauge, consider getting one. A proper one is reasonably easy to install but even easier is the dipstick
version which converts the dipstick into a temperature sensor wired to the oil pressure light on the dash.

Hi. Thank you for letting me join the group. This is Buttercup. We've had her 4years. She's had a respray & some body work done. We are currently on holiday in Winchester. We met Ollie in Tesco Winchester, speaking to Noel & his wife we joined immediately. Keen to learn more about these vans and do more of my own maintenance by learning from you guys and hearing of your experiences. 😀 👌

A plea from Linda and Stewart Shuttleworth
‘Dennis’ has got a Devon conversion with a straight lift roof. The attachment between the central pivot and the square section piece holding the spring sheared. It is possible to replace the lifting system using a gas strut system fromforexample‘ProudtoPop’.However, wherever possible we’re trying to keep the original fittings inside Dennis.
Do any members have any ideas for other sources of the piece?
