Speech and Drama SPEECH AND DRAMA LESSONS
Speech and Drama lessons which can be taken individually or or or shared provide an excellent opportunity for pupils to develop their communication and performance skills All forms of o oral communication are offered however courses are structured to meet the needs of individual pupils pupils Generally speaking pupils pupils who take these lessons do so either to develop their acting and textual interpretation skills or because they wish to improve their vocal confidence in in public speaking A recent addition to to the Speech and Drama repertoire are lessons in in Musical Theatre in in which students can develop their singing as as well as as acting skills This is is proving to be a a a a popular option Whichever area of communication a a a a pupil opts for he he or or she may be encouraged to take an appropriate LAMDA (London Academy of Music
and Dramatic Art) examination Pupils may also have an opportunity to take part in local Festivals such as the Worcester Competitive Festival Festival which takes place each March Once a a a a pupil has been signed up up we will assume that the pupil’s intention is to continue lessons until he/she leaves the College However If a a pupil wishes to cease lessons before then written notice of one term from parents is required and needs to be be received no later than the beginning of the pupil’s final term Please complete the appropriate form Production of Chicago - March 2019
