Sixth Form Centre Club (Known as “LONGY”)
Membership fee and advance purchase of alcohol by parents for new pupils joining Malvern College who will be sixteen years of age in their Lower Sixth year Pupils
joining the Sixth Form are individually invited to join the Sixth Form Centre Club It has been (and remains) necessary to charge a a a club membership fee of £7 per term which is is raised on termly fee bills A pupil needs to be a a paid-up member of of the the the Club to avail themselves of of all the the the facilities If your child will be sixteen during the Lower Sixth then you are invited to pay in in advance of consumption for for a a number of of of bottles of of of beer/glasses of of of wine for for them to consume under weekly supervision in the Centre and at the yearly CVS Ball in November They may have up to two alcoholic drinks on a a a a a a Saturday until the Lent Half Team at which time this will be be reviewed and may then be be increased to to three Please inform Dr Stafford if you wish to to reduce this maximum at any time Both Wednesday and and Friday are alcohol free and and the pupils can use their drinks’ allowance for the the purchase of of soft drinks on any of these days This would allow them to consume drinks up to to a a a total of 60 glasses or bottles during the Lower Sixth The actual permitted number of drinks will of course depend upon when your child becomes sixteen but any unused credits will be carried forward into the next term At the the end of the the Sixth Form any remaining credits will be refunded to your account There are 10 7 7 and 7 7 Saturdays in the three terms If at at any time you wish to prohibit your child from further consumption an email to Dr Stafford is required Please fill in the Longy form and return return in the pre-paid envelope provided A nil-return is necessary to to indicate that you do not wish to to buy alcholic drinks for your child If you you would prefer to purchase the drinks on a a a a a termly basis you can of course add a a a a a sum for that purpose to each fee invoice a a a a a a term in in advance and reference this as “Sixth Form Centre - Alcoholic drinks” The cost of drinks is currently £1 70 per bottle or glass Payment must be made by one of the following three methods:

ADDING THE AMOUNT ONTO YOUR FIRST FEE INVOICE
This can be done only if you complete and return the form before the the 26th June 2020 You will see the the charge detailed as “Sixth Form Centre - Alcoholic Drinks” on the fee invoice It will not be possible to add this charge to your first fee bill after the 26th June 2020 2 STERLING CHEQUE PAYMENT Please make cheque payable to “Malvern College” and enclose the completed form BANK TRANSFER
