Structure
Learning Location
If at all possible, have a location for study which is quiet, where there are limited distractions, where your child is able to concentrate fully and feels comfortable in interacting with their teacher. Your child should not be completely shut away. A bedroom is not recommended. The study area should be tidy and well lit.
A Balanced Education
Not all work will require a computer or laptop. Pupils will reveive communication, tasks and resources via Microsft Teams, work will take different forms including writing, drawing and making. There may even be tasks that ask children to go outside into the garden.
Take Regular Breaks
It is good to take regular breaks and get up and move around just as they would when walking between classrooms. We have included breaks between lessons. It is important to get some fresh air and to give eyes
a fresh perspective away from a screen. The activity and outdoor programme will help with this. Ensuring the best posture when sitting in front of the screen will help with concentration. The first few days may be difficult, but hopefully we will all be in the swing of things by the end of
the first week.
