Monitoring Mental Health and Wellbeing
We know some pupils will respond positively to distance learning and be very motivated. However, others will find this time much more difficult and frustrating. We know this also might be a very difficult time for you and your family. Please do contact Mr B-T or your Tutor at any stage if you need help and support. We are one community and by working together we will all make the most of this time at home and from the distance learning programme.
Distance learning does mean that the usual face to face interactions that your child has with their friends has been greatly reduced. We recommend allowing time
for keeping in contact, as long as this is not during lesson time. Encouraging your child to talk about the work they are doing each day, and for parents to be part of the process with your child, will hopefully alleviate any tensions and frustrations.
If this is not a workable solution your child can talk to Mr B-T or their Tutor.
Going to bed at a sensible time and getting a good night’s sleep will also help in being able to start the next day with a fresh perspective. We recommend time away from the screen before going to bed.
