 DRAMA
     The purpose of these activities is to aid preparation for advanced level study and make the transition from GCSE study as smoothly as possible. The activities are a combination of written pieces of work, research-based tasks and viewing/evaluating streamed theatrical productions.
There are three areas of focus which all link to the work you will undertake in the first year of your A level Drama and Theatre course.

» Develop analytical/evaluative skills by viewing streamed theatre productions
» Undertake theoretical research tasks relating to theatrical style, playwrights and texts
» Explore how social, cultural and historical contexts inform theatrical texts
» Consideration of practices/ techniques used in creating contemporary theatre (modern set design, lighting, sound etc)
