ABBERLEY ADVENTURES

Boarding
We look forward to welcoming our boarders back to school and we encourage children to board with us. In fact, given the complications surrounding COVID, dropping off in the morning and collecting after school, boarding in our safely managed environment makes more sense than ever. I am aware that many parents are still deciding which nights and how many nights they would like their children to board and that this may depend, to an extent, on the activities on offer each evening. We will remain as flexible as possible but we would be grateful if parents could make decisions about boarding as soon as they can. Please keep our Houseparents informed by email. Toby Dunham (boys) toby.dunham@abberleyhall.co.uk or Hannah Ryan (girls) hannah.ryan@abberleyhall.co.uk
As you know, the girls will be boarding in Main House rather than in Yates as they have done previously. Yates House will be used for additional music space and also to provide an area to isolate children if the need were to arise. Work has been ongoing throughout the summer to ensure the girls’ boarding accommodation is welcoming and cosy and I am confident that they will be very happy in their new home.
A Message from Mr and Mrs Dunham about boys’ boarding
There has been lots of activity in the Boys’ House over the 4 Summer, with a new Junior Common Room, a 100’s area on the
top floor and the introduction of a Top Year chill out room! We
are really looking forward to welcoming back all the boarders, and Arthur, Barnaby and Ralphie cannot wait to start having
fun with you!
And a message from Miss Ryan
I am really looking forward to welcoming you all into our new part of the Main House. We have been very busy decorating and making our area look homely and welcoming and I am so excited for you to see the new dorms that you will be staying in. I have been in touch with my decorative side and I hope that you will be as excited as I am about the dorms. Here are some ‘work in progress’ pictures to give you a small insight into what we have been up to over the summer.
