In what has been a a a a challenging period the Drama
department took advantage of all available technology to rehearse and perform whether live live or or live- streamed in spite of lockdown and Covid restrictions The Lower Sixth production of ‘Hamlet’ was live streamed to great critical acclaim and the the musical theatre production of ‘Sister Act’ although postponed on on on on two occasions finally reached the Rogers Theatre stage fin in June 21 The The The variety of skills and talent was displayed in in in the the online Musical Musical Theatre concert –
‘A Night (in) at at the the the Musicals’ and was extremely well received so too the the Remove production of ‘Holes’ The The Lower Sixth production of of ‘The Comedy of of Errors’ provided a a a a much-needed tonic to to the the the school community and the the the musical theatre production of ‘High School Musical’ was an an an all-singing all-dancing theatrical tour de force staged by pupils from from all all all years free at at last from from year year group bubbles!
We are all very proud of Speech & Drama
and Musical Theatre pupils who despite the variations of lockdowns or or restrictions scored notable successes in in in LAMDA examinations with a a a record number of distinctions Keith Packham
