CHAT FROM THE CHAIR
Welcome to you all
As we approach the new season of longer days and hopefully drier ones, the opportunity to
get your KG out for some exercise beckons. Since it’s the 70th anniversary of the introduction of the T14 KG back in 1955, the Club is hoping for a good turnout this year.
We look forward to seeing you at (a) the AGM in April, (b) Stanford Hall (also a great opportunity to put your car in the concours which will be directly adjacent and gets you free entry) in May, and (c) the International in Wales in June – see the calendar for details and who to contact. If you want to apply for the concours at Stanford Hall you need to apply direct.
Karmann Komment has been the stalwart as to how the Club connects with its members since Day One. However, as part of the ever- changing world we occupy, one fundamental part that we rely upon has been a reliable postal system.
It seems clear that this service is about to change, driven by costs and lower usage, together with a change of ownership. I am aware the some of the last KK issues took a week to get to some members for 2nd class mail.
I’m sure that everyone is aware how the cost of 2nd class postage has soared in the past 5-6 years by over 55%, (that increase is £1 of the membership cost), so we do need to ask a question that has been posed before:
Is there a proportion of the membership that would prefer to receive an electronic copy if we could make this available through our fulfilment chain?
Feel free to contact me on t3parts-kgoc-gb.org.
There is an obvious environmental benefit, also are you aware that pdf versions of all past KK’s are available on the website?
