ABBERLEY ADVENTURES 3
Academic Life
Despite the challenges of lockdown academic life continues to flourish We reviewed our timetable last term and were set to launch a a a a a new and improved curriculum in January LIFE lessons (Life Skills Identity Faith and and Ethics) were introduced and and these sessions incorporate what used to be delivered during Religious Studies lessons as well as PSHE which is a a a a a a mandatory subject for all children My thanks go to Mrs Kennedy for her energy and enthusiasm in in making sure that this subject has been been so well received More time had been been devoted to Design Technology and and Computing and and Mr Hiles has worked hard to ensure that the subject is a a a success despite lockdown We have reviewed the the amount of time allocated to the the different subjects and made some adjustments where necessary The younger children for example now have more time allocated to English and Maths Lots of fun has been had during online lessons but some serious work has has taken place and this has has been confirmed by some truly excellent effort grades across all year groups It is rumoured that one pupil managed to to achieve a a a a a 5 in every subject Well done to to you all for such hard work despite the difficulties More Scholarship Success
